About the Open Aviation Ads Initiative

The Open Aviation Ads Initiative is a technical standard designed to create an open, interoperable data-format for aircraft specifications.

In a nutshell, the Initiative intends to set standards for trading data of classifed ads for new and used aircraft between aviation brokers, dealers and online aviation marketplaces, so that sellers only have to enter their data once and the data is shared between different sites.

Participating members commit to to following standards

• The data is is the intellectual property of the individual seller/broker and will be used/displayed only upon explicit permission of the broker
• Data is shared between sites free of charge and is prepared by the creating site to include accurate and complete details
• Participating sites on the receiving end update the data provided on a regular basis (at least once a week)
